Fiesta!

If only they were like this one: "M"-Mastered, "P"-Progressing, "N"-shows little or no understanding, and N/A-not assessed. Hmmmmm, or maybe not. :) Anyway, Joe really wanted to make a big deal out of Sophie's first report card. We wanted to celebrate all of her "M's" and all of the great comments from her very sweet teacher (who we absolutely LOVE). We decided to go to this super fun Mexican restaurant near our house. It was so fun because they had a Mariachi (sp?????) Band playing all night. The restaurant was packed with young families. My Mom, brother and niece all joined us as well. We had the best time!
BTW-Sophie dressed herself. Should be enough said, but, you know me. :) I must explain. She looks adorable of course, but when these times happen, I think there should be a sticker we can sneak on their back or some universal code that we can secretly sign to others to tip them off that this was not the choice of their mother. :) SO this is the outfit: A sweet lady from church gave us a ton of dress up clothes and dresses from India. These were dresses and things her daughters when they were little and they are older than me! Actually the coolest thing was a totally vintage Girl Scout uniform. I'll have to post that one a little later. Anyway, back to the outfit. She wore this blue dress from India (linen, and it is winter here), then she wore white tights with purple flowers (notice the dress is blue with no purple), a pink hair bow and ........wait for it..........pink cowboy boots! But hey, it was her night, right? :)

Macy just enjoyed her two favorite things: being next to Mommy and coloring. :)

My beautiful niece Ashlan. She is the oldest of 7 grand kids on my side of the family and is favored by every single one of them.. They all call her Ashy. She was such a sport for coming. She was in crutches after a pretty intense knee surgery. But she is on the road to recovery for the competitive wake-boarding season. She is awesome!

These guys were all too pleased to take a picture with my beautiful Mom.

This is just a cute picture of Macy. She is enjoying just one of the many advantages of not being in school yet .....getting to lick the spoon!

I think there also needs to be stickers that say "daddy dressed me". As well as "daddy did my hair"...Seriously, I would invest in some.

We try to do 'Tuesday Chooseday' at our house. Connie gets to choose her outfit on that day, and that day ONLY. Otherdays, it's up to Mommy! (And I have informed her teachers and most of our friends, so the sticker is unnecessary, although still a great idea!) Love ya Crystal!

Hey Crystal, I'm missing you! Check out our blog, I've actually posted a bit in the last few weeks. But I had a LONG dry spell before that, so there is no guilt trip coming from me. I'd just love to hear what's going on with your cute family!

Hey, funny story, I was clicking around on blogs that I like to read, and I randomly found your name. I was originally reading a blog called "The Crazy Life". I don't know the girl very well (Erin), but she writes on another blog, Marathon Mommies, that I write on, so we're sort of internet acquaintances. She lives in Texas. I saw on her blog list (that shows post titles) a post entitled "I love this man" and I was intrigued by the title so I clicked over and it was the Daley's blog (who I also don't know.) But I saw Joe & Crystal listed on their blog list and I clicked on it and it was YOU!
Bizarre, huh? And cool. Sorry for the long comment! Hope you're all well and happy!
