We finally made it to Holiday World. The girls have heard so many ads and seen so many billboards that they were just dying to go. (btw-holiday world totally needs a graphics make-over. The color scheme is so yucky! Turquoise with red and green??? yuck!) Macy was in tears most of the day because she was just shy of the required 42" to ride most of the rides and she SOOOO wanted to. She is my daredevil. Sophie who was tall enough was terrified of everything except the wave pool in the water park. We camped at Lake Rudolph. It was a great a campground ...if you love to camp. :/ the girls and Joe love it and I try really hard to like it. It was very hot and crowded. Reminded me why I don't like camping in the summer. I like fall and maybe spring.

End of summer fun
On the way home our 2nd day, we stopped at Santa's Candy cottage. (and in case you aren't familiar, this is all in Santa Claus, Indiana. Which somewhat explains the over-the-top themes)It was really fun. They had yummy frozen hot chocolate and this cute computer game the kids could play. They got to "chat" with one of Santa's elves and take a quiz as to whether or not they are on Santa's "Good List". We encouraged them to answer honestly and then they had to promise Santa they would work on the things they needed to improve. Then they received a certificate showing they made it to Santa's Good list. Oh, we have so used that since we have been home to encourage more teeth brushing and bed making.
