Lawrence Safety Day

We had so much fun at Safety Day this year. They hold it at the Fire Station right near our house. In years past it has been sooo hot, but this year we had to pull out the sweatshirts. Macy got to use a real fire hose and put out the "fire".

We saw live demonstrations on how police k-9's hunt down bad guys and watched them find drugs planted in vehicles. We watched a rescue from a burning building using the ladder truck. We had the girls finger-printed and made child ID cards. They also had snow cones and popcorn. All of it is free! I love free. :)
We even ran into the Chick-Fil-A cow. Macy's camera smile is almost freaky.
And finally, after a 30 minute wait in line, the girls had their faces painted. Sophie wanted a butterfly and Macy wanted a dog..Dalmatian to be exact. But oh were there tears last night when it was bath time. I love these cuties!

I love updating on your family. I know other people would probably feel the same about me, so I need to get on it.

You guys are great! I love to recycle too, but haven't gardened in our new house yet, mostly cause I didn't think we'd actually be here this summer. Maybe next year, but then again, maybe we'll be moving to California.

Hopefully you'll see our update soon. Love you!
